Cave Bears were largely herbivorous but were likely opportunistic omnivores. As megafauna, these bears were large, especially the males which grew almost 10 feet tall (which is about the same size as modern polar bears). Cave bear fossils are plentiful, as the environment of a cave is very good at preserving remains.
