Raptor Day at the Museum
March 7, Noon to 3:00 pm
Come meet our raptor friends! Middle Tennessee Raptor center is a local bird of prey rescue center and they will be at the museum with live dinosaurs! (birds are dinosaurs) Depending of the mood of the birds that day, they may have owls, hawks or falcons. See the birds up close and ask the handlers questions about the birds and what they do at the Raptor Center. www.middletnraptorcenter.org This is a free event included with museum admission. March 7, 12-3 pm.

Dungeons and Dragons at the Museum March 21 @5pm
Several times a year we have an evening of D&D at the museum. You do not need to know how to play and we will provide everything you need. There will be door prizes, raffles and snacks! Dino Day 2026 Oct 17
Earth Experience is hosting Dino Day on October 17 as part of the TN STEAM festival. There will be a fossil dig for small children, a craft and rock sale, and Fried Tater food truck. Event partners include MTSU Geosciences department and Middle Tennessee Gem and Mineral Society. The museum will be open extended hours from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Join The Hunt For Dinosaurs
Every summer we hold a yearly dig. This year we are working on BLM (federal) land and only museum staff will be able to attend. However we are partnering with Paleo Prospectors who run digs all summer.
